U.S. Post Office carrier robbed at mobile home park in Augusta, $50,000 reward offered

The United States Postal Inspection Service is offering a reward up to $50,000 for information about a robbery of a USPS letter carrier at a mobile home park in Augusta.

The robbery occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m. Sunday near the mailboxes on Carmell Circle in the Rocky Creek Mobile Home Park in Augusta, according to a release from the postal service.

The large reward will be given for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the those involved in the robbery, according to the release.

Anyone with information should contact the U.S. Postal Inspection Service at 1-877-876-2455 and say "Law Enforcement." The reference case number is 4049304.

All information will be kept strictly confidential, according to the release.
