Work.ua stops working with another 200 companies operating in Russia, encourages employees to follow

Work.ua has terminated its partnership with another 200 companies that continue to work in the Russian market, the portal announced on Aug. 31.

The company had already ceased working with several companies due to their ties with Russia.

Several well-known brands were included on Work.ua second sanctions list as they ‘continue to support the military potential of the aggressor country,’ including Coca-Cola HBC, Samsung, Xiaomi Corporation, L'Oréal, Claas Group, Caparol, Lacoste, Colin's, New Yorker Group Services, Intimissimi, Calzedonia, Bacardi, Lactalis, Gorenje, Zepter, Dahua Technology, Tezenis, Haier, B. Braun, and Egger.

Work.ua removed these brands from its list of clients and states it "rejects their job offers and money because dignity is not for sale."

"We will continue to verify and block companies that continue to sit on two chairs"

Work.ua also urges employees of these companies to submit resignation letters and "find work with companies that genuinely support Ukraine."

"Currently, employers are actively seeking qualified personnel, with 100,000 job vacancies posted on Work.ua. So, you will certainly find your place in a reputable company that does not trade in humanity,” the company said.

“There is no need to defend or justify the above-mentioned brands, citing complex procedures and decisions made in European offices. Some have succeeded! After all, we know examples of responsible businesses for which working with a killer country (Russia – ed.) is unacceptable, (such as) McDonald’s, Henkel, EPAM, Airbnb, Apple, Booking, H&M, IKEA, Netflix, to name a few" said the portal.

Earlier, Work.ua had ceased its cooperation with Unilever, Leroy Merlin, Raiffeisen Bank, Metro, LC Waikiki, KRKA, Berlin-Chemie, Nestle, OTP Bank, Mondelez, PepsiCo, Philip Morris, Syngenta, Procter & Gamble, FM Logistic, Yves Rocher, Beko, Auchan, JTI (Japan Tobacco International), and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories.

Transportation and expedition company Prime Group also refused to cooperate with all companies that have not exited the Russian market.

A number of marketing and PR agencies have also suspended their cooperation with companies and brands that continue to operate in Russia.
