UC Bearcats basketball to play rescheduled Houston game in March

The Cincinnati Bearcats' conference road game at Houston is back on the schedule.

UC and Houston will play at the Cougars' Fertitta Center on Tuesday, March 1.

The programs were initially scheduled to play the game as the American Athletic Conference opener for both programs on Dec. 28, but the game was postponed due to COVID-19 issues within Houston's program.

At the time of the postponement, the conference's policy was to award a forfeit victory to UC but AAC officials ultimately moved to schedule games affected by the pandemic.

Houston's trip to play UC at Fifth Third Arena on Feb. 6 has remained unchanged on the schedule.

Houston is currently 16-2 overall and 5-0 in the AAC, and ascended to No. 10 in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll.

Meanwhile, Cincinnati (14-5, 4-2 AAC) is unranked pushing forward via a three-game winning streak after Thursday's 90-69 win against Tulsa.
