The American Athletic Conference men's basketball game between the University of Cincinnati and Houston scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 28, in Houston has been canceled due to the number of student-athletes available at Houston because of COVID-19.

The game will be considered a no-contest by the NCAA. As per conference policy and for the purpose of conference standings only, Cincinnati will be awarded a forfeit win and Houston will be assessed a forfeit loss.

In light of the changing public health environment, the conference's athletic directors will meet this week to determine if changes need to be made to the league's current policy.

Cincinnati (10-3) returns to action on Saturday, Jan. 1, at home against Tulane. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
