New UCF athletics director Terry Mohajir has been replaced on the College Football Playoff selection committee by Georgia State AD Charlie Cobb.

Mohajir was nominated to the group by the Sun Belt Conference when he was the AD at Arkansas State. He served two years of a three-year term, but the playoff management committee decided to replace him with another Sun Belt nominee to finish the current term.

“As we welcome Charlie to the group, we also want to take this opportunity to thank Terry for his good spirit and positive influence during his two years as a member of the committee and wish him all the best in his new role at UCF,” said Bill Hancock, who is executive director of the College Football Playoff.

The 13-person selection committee is comprised of university administrators, former coaches, former athletes and current athletic directors. The group’s job is to rank the top 25 teams and identify the top four teams to play in the two semifinal games.
