Limbitless Solutions will include new opportunities for student veterans, the University of Central Florida announced Thursday.
UCF said the program will work with their Office of Military and Veteran Student Success and Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership to offer specialized training and internship positions.
They will focus on providing better access for students to learn technical skills to use equipment, including 3-D printers and laser cutters.
UCF has a veteran population of about 1,900 students and recently received a Silver Award that recognized the university’s commitment to student veteran success.
“Advanced manufacturing continues to grow at a rapid pace throughout Central Florida,” said MVSC Director Michael Kepner. “This collaboration is the perfect next step in developing a talent pipeline of student veterans to meet the workforce needs of our partners.”
The collaboration will begin next January.
