UCF running back Damarius Good will transfer

UCF running back Damarius Good has decided to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal, he shared on social media Wednesday.

The redshirt sophomore running back from Lake Brantley appeared in nine games this past season mostly on special teams. He recorded 1 rush for 4 yards.

“To UCF, thank you for welcoming me with open arms and providing me with an experience that I will never forget,” Good wrote in his announcement. “With that being said, I’d like to announce that I’ve decided to enter the transfer portal.

In 2020, he appeared in all 10 games as a running back and on special teams, carrying the ball 4 times for 24 yards and catching 2 passes for 22 yards. He worked with the scout team as a true freshman.

Coming out of Lake Brantley, Good was ranked as a Top 100 prospect in Florida, according to 247Sports. The Orlando native, however, never made his way out of a crowded running back room at UCF.

The Knights have a plethora of talent returning at running back in 2022 including, fifth-year senior Isaiah Bowser, rising redshirt junior Mark-Antony Richards and rising junior Johnny Richardson, all of whom made major contributions this past season.

Edgewater product RJ Harvey, who suffered a torn ligament in the preseason, is set to return, alongside redshirt senior from Bishop Moore Trillion Coles.

As a senior at Lake Brantley, Good rushed 63 times for 656 yards and 9 touchdowns in 2018. He also caught 5 passes for 99 yards that season.

“To my brothers on and off the field, I will forever keep you close to my heart,” Good wrote. “UCF will always be a place to call home.”
