EDMOND —The University of Central Oklahoma will host the 23rd annual Endeavor Games on Thursday through Sunday, June 9-12, on UCO’s campus and throughout the Edmond community.

The UCO Endeavor Games, an opportunity for athletes with physical disabilities to participate in various sporting events on a competitive level, is the nation’s largest multi-sport, multi-disability event.

The 2022 games will include 11 sports: Archery, air rifle shooting, cycling, powerlifting, sitting volleyball, swimming, table tennis, track and field, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair tennis and wheelchair softball.

The games will open Thursday with a day of sports clinics and camps for aspiring athletes. The competition will kick off Friday with powerlifting and wheelchair basketball in the morning; air rifle shooting during the day; several field events at Edmond North High School, 215 W Danforth Road; and, an evening of swimming at the Edmond Mitch Park YMCA, 2901 Marilyn Williams Drive.

Saturday’s events will feature track and field at Edmond North High School, followed by sitting volleyball at UCO. The games will conclude Sunday with wheelchair softball, indoor archery and table tennis at the UCO Wellness Center.

UCO is an official U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Site and is the host training site for the U.S. Men’s and Women’s Sitting Volleyball teams. In addition, UCO currently is a training site for USA Taekwondo.
