UConn men's game on Saturday at Providence is postponed

Jan. 13—NEW YORK — The Big East Conference has announced that the UConn at Providence men's basketball game, which was scheduled for Saturday, has been postponed due to COVID issues within the Providence program.

Per the Big East game postponement policy, the conference office will attempt to reschedule the game in accordance with the parameters of the policy.

UConn's next scheduled game is Tuesday, Jan. 18, when the Huskies (11-4, 2-2) will play host to Butler at the XL Center in Hartford at 7 p.m.

This is the third UConn game to be postponed this season and the other two have been rescheduled. The Dec. 28 game at Xavier has been rescheduled for Feb. 11 and the New Year's Day game against Butler at the XL Center in Hartford is now scheduled for Jan. 18.
