UConn men's hockey announces 17-game home schedule
Aug. 16—The UConn men's hockey team announced its 17-game home schedule for the 2022-23 season Monday evening, including 11 games against Hockey East foes.
UConn is hoping to open its new on-campus arena in mid-January, though no specific date has been set.
The Huskies welcome Union for their home-opening series Oct. 7-8 before hosting Ohio State for a two-game series Oct. 14-15.
UConn entertains its first Hockey East opponent Oct. 27 when it welcomes Boston College. That's followed by a two-game series with Maine (Nov. 4-5) and games against Providence (Nov. 12) and UMass Lowell (Nov. 19) as part of home-and-home series.
Hockey East play continues into December when the Huskies entertain Merrimack (Dec. 2) and Boston University (Dec. 11). UConn finishes 2022 with a non-conference game against LIU Dec. 31.
The Huskies host two conference foes in January with games against Northeastern Jan. 14 and UMass Jan. 21 before welcoming Alaska Anchorage Feb. 22 for their final non-conference home game of the season.
UConn welcomes New Hampshire Feb. 25 before concluding its home schedule March 3 when it hosts Boston College on Senior Day.
Game venues and start times will be announced at a later date.
UConn finished 20-16-0 last season, reaching the Hockey East tournament championship game for the first time.
