UConn's five-member Class of 2023 recruiting class all officially sign with Huskies

Nov. 10—Dan Hurley and the UConn men's basketball team had a productive first day of the early signing period.

All five of the Huskies' recruits from the high school Class of 2023 — Stephon Castle, Jayden Ross, Solomon Ball, Jaylin Stewart and Youssouf Singare — signed their letters of intent Wednesday.

Castle, a 6-foot-6 combo guard out of Newton High School in Covington, Georgia, is ranked No. 23 nationally by 247Sports.com. He was the first to commit to the Huskies, announcing last November.

Ross was the next to commit, announcing his intentions June 27th. A 6-foot-7 small forward, Ross is ranked No. 135 by 24/7 Sports. He'll spend his final high school season at Long Island Lutheran in Brookville, New York.

Four days after Ross' commitment, the 6-foot-3 Ball announced his. The shooting guard is ranked No. 38 by 24/7 Sports. Ball and Ross were previously teammates at St. James School in Hagerstown, Maryland before Ball transferred to Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire in May for his final season.

Stewart was the fourth to commit on Sept. 16. The 6-foot-6 small forward is playing his final season at Garfield High in Seattle, Washington. He's ranked No. 78 by 24/7 Sports.

The 7-foot center Singare completed the class with his commitment Sept. 21. A native of Mali in West Africa, Singare is the 121st-ranked player by 24/7 Sports. He's attending Our Saviour Lutheran School in the Bronx, New York.

UConn's recruiting class is currently ranked fourth by 24/7 Sports, behind Duke, Kentucky and Michigan State.
