Rian Davis looks like he will get his second straight start. The inside linebacker worked with the first team defense along with Jamon Dumas-Johnson during pregame warmups.

We wrote about Davis in our five things to know for this game. Check it out there if you haven't yet.

2:59 p.m. | Georgia football RB Kendall Milton update

Don't see Georgia running back Kendall Milton in the pregame warmups. He left last week's game with a groin injury.

A.D. Mitchell is on the field dressed out, but I didn't see him run routes in the pregame drill with the others so he may be out.

Walk-on Cash Jones and Sevaughn Clarke are dressed out along with the other scholarship running backs.

2:28 p.m. | Georgia Bulldogs ILB Smael Mondon going through warmups

Inside linebacker Smael Mondon, who didn't play last week due to a sprained ankle, looks good moving side-to-side in the end zone with the others at this position.

Kirby Smart didn't sound too upbeat Thursday night that Mondon would go today.

“When you’re dealing with the ankle, it’s a tough thing,” Smart said on his radio show Thursday night. “It’s one of those things you can’t do much without your feet. You can’t put a cast on it. You can’t cover it up. You can’t say grin and bear with it because you’ve got to be able to lever and explode off that foot and hold levarage on blocks. That’s tough.”

2:13 p.m. | An update on Georgia football WR AD Mitchell

Bulldogs wide receiver A.D. Mitchell, who played just a few snaps last week, is on the field going through pregame warmups, but hasn't tried to run full speed yet. He's missed much of the season with an ankle injury.

2:09 p.m. | Your weekly Georgia Bulldog TE Arik Gilbert update

Tight end Arik Gilbert, who hasn't played since early in the season, is again dressed out and on the field for pregame warmups with the other tight ends. Hard to know if that means he would get any game action today.

2:03 p.m. | A couple of Aussies catching up before Georgia football vs. Vanderbilt football

Georgia punter Brett Thorson is chatting up Vanderbilt punter Matthew Hayball.

Thorson is from Victoria, Australia. Hayball is from West Adelaide, Australia.

They are both products of Prokick Australia. Hayball is a transfer from Florida Atlantic,

Vanderbilt is in a familiar spot Saturday, serving as Georgia’s homecoming opponent.

1:11 p.m. | Georgia Bulldogs vs. Vanderbilt Commodores referee and UGA game captains

Today’s referee is Steve Marlowe. His day job is working for Alabama Power.

Georgia’s game captains: tight end Brock Bowers, nose guard Zion Logue, offensive tackle Warren McClendon and kicker Jack Podlesny.

12:50 p.m. | Vanderbilt Commodores RB Ray Davis a workhorse

Vanderbilt’s Ray Davis is a workhorse running back. He averages18 carries a game after rushing for 105 yards and a touchdown on 27 rushes last week against Ole Miss.

The 5-foot-9, 205-pound senior from San Francisco is fifth in the SEC at 84.5 rushing yards per game.

“Man, the guy’s one of the best kept secrets in our league if you ask me,” Smart said. “He breaks a lot of tackles, he’s very smooth. It’s not the long speed that impresses you, it’s the ability to break tackles and his feet in and out of the holes. And his receiving ability out of the backfield that is really unique. They did a hell of a job to get him into the program and get them there as a player.”

Davis is third on Vanderbilt with 17 catches for 110 yards.
