“And we have nothing but gratitude towards the fraternal Belarusian people, who will help Ukraine defeat the invaders and drive them out of our land, as well as theirs.”

Nevertheless, Ignat said that as in the case of the destruction of Russian airbase at Novofedorivka in Crimea, people should trust official information from Ukraine’s Defense Ministry regarding the incident at the Zyabrovka airfield.

On the night of Aug 11, explosions were heard and flashes were seen near the Zyabrovka airfield. A shock wave was also reported.

According to an official statement  by the Ministry of Defense of Belarus, the explosions were caused by live-fire exercises carried out by the Air Defense Forces and the Air Force.
