Ukraine brings charges against Russian blogger Pegov in absentia, Prosecutor General says
The charges were brought under Part 2 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The investigation revealed that he regularly creates military propaganda materials for the WarGonzo project on YouTube and a pro-Russian Telegram channel. He justifies Russian armed aggression against Ukraine and Russian invasion in his materials and publications.
"He also glorifies Russian soldiers and other members of illegal military groups, provides misinformation, and spreads fakes and disinformation," the report said.

Besides, the suspects leads several other Russian propaganda projects aiming to overthrow the constitutional order in Ukraine, Ukrainian prosecutors said.
The Prosecutor General's Office said that Pegov had illegally crossed the border into Ukraine multiple times, arriving in the temporarily occupied areas for "working meetings" and interviewing "leaders" of such illegal entities as the "LPR/DPR" and other "representatives" of self-proclaimed authorities.
He has received awards from Russian high-ranking authorities, including from Russian dictator Vladimir Putin personally.
