Ukraine downs all 10 Russian drones fired overnight, debris causes major damage in Odesa

Ukrainian Defense Forces and anti-aircraft missile units eliminated all 10 Russian Shahed attack drones fired overnight on Feb. 28, Ukraine’s Air Force reported.

Russia launched the drones from Russia’s Primorsko-Akhtarsk Oblast at the Ukrainian oblasts of Odesa and Mykolaiv.

In addition to the drone attack, Russia launched S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles from the temporarily occupied Donetsk Oblast, the Air Force said.

An air raid alert was declared in southern and central oblasts of Ukraine early on Feb. 28, with the Air Force warning ofa group of Shahed drones spotted in the south.

Explosions rang out in Odesa as the result of falling debris from one downed drone, short circuiting part of the city’s critical infrastructure.
