“It seems the shareholders have found a compromise and UIA will survive,” aviation expert Oleksandr Lanetskij said on Facebook.

Earlier Borysonnyk worked at Ukrainian state-owned bank, PrivatBank.

On Sept. 19, 2022, Kyrylo Zvonariov, who had previously been the deputy general director of Boryspil International Airport, was appointed as the new president of the airline.

The replacement took place after the contract with Yevhen Dykhne, who had headed the company since September 2019, expired.

Until 2019, Yuriy Miroshnikov headed UIA.
