According to Golos faction MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak, the parliament is proposing the appointment of Serhiy Kozyr, a member of the ruling Servant of the People party, as the chairman of the proposed PIC. The composition of the PIC will include eight representatives from Servant of the People and one representative from the parliamentary groups Dovira, as well as PZZhM and Vidnovlennia, which were formed by representatives of the pro-Russian Opposition Platform, after the faction was banned.

The stated purpose of the PIC is to carry out parliamentary control and investigation of possible violations of the legislation of Ukraine in the field of receipt, distribution, transportation, storage, use for the intended purpose of humanitarian and other aid, as well as inefficient use of state property that can be used for temporary accommodation of internally displaced persons and other needs of the state.

"Frankly speaking, this should be done by law enforcement officers, not MPs," Zheleznyak noted.
