“It is crucial to reinforce the air defense system for the winter because we need to secure our airspace, ensuring the safety of our children going to school, students attending universities, doctors providing safe treatment in hospitals, and so on,” Reznikov added.

“We must ensure the safety of our population. This is an important task, and we are committed to it.”

He highlighted the need to protect not only Kyiv but also all major metropolitan areas, including Kharkiv, Dnipro, Odesa, Lviv, Zaporizhzhya, and other cities.

Reznikov said Ukraine has already accomplished all of the basic tasks related to the procurement of certain types of weaponry. Therefore, the focus now should be on the quantity of air defense systems and ensuring they are supplied with missiles, radars, and other equipment.

The minister added that it is also necessary to ensure the combat readiness of these systems, particularly through the provision of spare parts, servicing, and repairs by partners.
