Quote: "Ukraine has never been against negotiations with the Russian Federation... on contributions and reparations.

The longer the Kremlin regime delays these negotiations, the worse the conditions and larger the sums will be."

Details: According to Danilov, the task of liberating Ukraine from occupation and defragmenting Russia will be completed in full, "according to plans and schedules."

Background:

  • Russian propaganda outlets have once again spread a message from Dmitry Peskov, Kremlin press secretary, about readiness to negotiate with Ukraine on ending the war.

  • President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reiterated that negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin would be impossible after the sham referendums in the occupied territories.

  • On 7 August, Zelenskyy stated that Russia would close any opportunity to negotiate with Ukraine if they held sham referendums in the occupied territories in the south of the country.

  • On 23 September, the Kremlin’s puppet leaders in the occupied territories of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia Oblasts claimed that they had started preparation for "referendums" on joining Russia.

  • According to reports in Russian propaganda media, Russia may announce the so-called accession of the occupied territories of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia Oblasts on 30 September.
