Ukraine 'Ready to Export Grain,' Zelensky Says During Visit to Odesa Port

Ukrainian president Volodymr Zelensky said his country was “ready to export grain” as he appeared alongside ambassadors from G7 countries and Turkey at a port in Ukraine’s Odesa region on July 29.

Zelensky said Ukraine was “waiting for signals from our partners to start transport.”

He said it was important for Ukraine to remain the guarantor of world food security. “While someone, blocking the Black Sea, takes lives in other states, we allow them to survive,” Zelensky said.

Kyiv and Moscow “signed a bilateral deal”:":https://interfax.com.ua/news/general/847865.html on July 22, that would allow the safe export of grain from Ukraine, specifically from Black Sea ports – including Odesa – that have been blockaded during the war.
