A new documentary that gives an inside look at the front lines of Ukraine’s fight against Russia is poised to be screened at the Capitol — just as lawmakers weigh providing more aid to the war-torn country.

In an exclusive clip from Bernard-Henri Lévy’s “Glory to the Heroes,” the French filmmaker and activist is seen as he embeds with Ukraine’s forces on the front line this past summer.

Lévy is there as Ukraine’s military fires two French mortars linked to a drone.

“We struck. The first rocket fell 10 meters from the target,” one of the troops is heard telling Lévy.

“If we had more ammunition, we could finish the job for good,” the Ukrainian fighter adds.

The doc from 75-year-old author and philosopher Lévy details the “horrors of war, with a focus on the hopefulness of the Ukrainian citizens and their optimism in the face of senseless destruction,” according to promotional materials.

The film — which opens Friday in select cities, including Washington, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Seattle and Philadelphia — is poised to be screened at the Capitol in January, organizers said. It’ll also be screened at Landmark’s E Street Cinema in Washington on Saturday, featuring a discussion with Lévy.

The screening comes after Senate Republicans on Wednesday blocked legislation that would provide aid to Ukraine and Israel over a lack of border provisions in the bill.

“Glory to the Heroes” is Lévy’s third film focused on Ukraine since Russia invaded in February 2022.
