Ukraine's Armed Forces repel Russian attacks near 15 settlements General Staff report

Ukrainian defence forces repelled attacks near 15 settlements and struck 6 Russian command posts on 7 December.

Quote: "Over the past day, defence force units have repelled Russian invaders’ attacks near the settlements of Ternova (Kharkiv Oblast), Stelmakhivka, Ploshchanka, Chervonopopivka, Bilohorivka (Luhansk Oblast), Bilohorivka, Berestove, Yakovlivka, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Opytne, Kurdiumivka, Maiorsk, Marinka and Novomykhailivka (Donetsk Oblast).

The enemy launched 7 missile and 16 air strikes and performed more than 40 attacks using multiple-launch rocket systems.

The threat of Russian missile attacks on the energy system and critical infrastructure targets throughout Ukraine remains."

Details: There were no significant changes on the Volyn and Polissia fronts. There is no evidence that Russia is forming additional units to launch a new offensive.

On the Sivershchyna front, Russian forces carried out artillery and mortar attacks on the settlements of Khrinivka and Hremiach in Chernihiv Oblast as well as  Novovasylivka, Ulytsia, Chernatske and Seredyna Buda in  Sumy Oblast.

On the Slobozhanshchyna front, Russian forces deployed tanks and artillery to fire on areas in and around Udy, Veterynarne, Starytsia, Ohirtseve, Vovchanski Khutory, Ambarne, Bolohivka, Dvorichna, and Kamianka in Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Kupiansk front, the Russians are on the defensive. Russian troops fired on the areas in and around the settlements of Kupiansk, Synkivka, Kyslivka, Kotliarivka, Tabaivka, Krokhmalne, Berestove, Pershotravneve (Kharkiv Oblast), Stelmakhivka and Andriivka (Luhansk Oblast).

On the Lyman front, Russian attacks were recorded in the areas in and around Hrekivka, Makiivka and Ploshchanka in Luhansk Oblast as well as Terny, Dibrova and Hryhorivka in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Bakhmut and Avdiivka fronts, the Russians are continuing their attempts to launch an offensive. They deployed tanks, mortars, and tubed and rocket artillery to attack the settlements of Verkhnokamianske, Spirne, Bilohorivka, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, Kurdiumivka, Druzhba, Zalizne, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Marinka and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk Oblast.

Russian troops are on the defensive on the Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia fronts. They carried out artillery and mortar attacks on the areas in and around Vuhledar, Bohoiavlenka, Prechystivka and Zolota Nyva in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Kherson front, Russian forces are conducting defensive operations and strengthening their units. Over 15 settlements located near the line of contact were shelled, including Zolota Balka, Kachkarivka, Lvove, Tokarivka, Inzhenerne, Antonivka and Dniprovske in Kherson Oblast. Bilohrudyi island and the cities of Kherson and Mykolaiv also came under fire.

The General Staff reported that the Russian occupiers are planning to mobilise local residents in the temporarily occupied parts of Zaporizhzhia Oblast in order to replenish their current losses. In particular, men of conscription age in the city of Melitopol (Zaporizhzhia Oblast) were recorded to have received summons. They are required to arrive at a military enlistment office in the near future.

The Ukrainian Air Force delivered 17 strikes on clusters of Russian personnel, weapons and military equipment, as well as 2 strikes on their anti-aircraft missile systems positions in the past 24 hours.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down a Shahed-136 attack drone and an Orlan reconnaissance drone.

Units of Ukraine’s Rocket Forces and Artillery struck six Russian command posts, five clusters of personnel, an artillery position and two ammunition storage points over the past day.
