Ukraine's defence forces repel Russian assaults on Bakhmut front, fighting continues in Bakhmut – General Staff report
Ukraine’s defence forces have repelled multiple Russians assaults on the Bakhmut front on 13 March. Fighting continues in the eastern city of Bakhmut.

Quote: "The Russian aggressor forces continue to focus their main efforts on conducting offensive operations on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Marinka and Shakhtarsk fronts and capturing all territory within the administrative borders of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.
Over the course of the past 24 hours, enemy forces carried out 29 airstrikes and 6 missile strikes, including 1 on an agricultural lyceum [specialised high school – ed.] in the town of Znob-Novhorodske in Sumy Oblast.
One civilian was killed and five injured."
Details: Russian occupation forces also fired two rockets on a school in Avdiivka, Donetsk Oblast, killing a local resident. The Russians deployed multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS) to conduct 10 further attacks.
There were no significant changes on the Volyn, Polissia, Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna fronts. Russia continues to maintain some of its forces near the Ukrainian border, but there is no evidence that it is forming offensive units.
Russian forces are also continuing to set up positions in parts of Bryansk and Kursk oblasts, Russia, near the border with Ukraine.
Russian occupation forces shelled several areas in and around settlements in Kharkiv and Chernihiv oblasts over the course of the past 24 hours.
The Russians are attempting to break through Ukrainian defences on the Kupiansk and Lyman fronts. They made unsuccessful attempts to advance on Hrianykivka, Masiutivka, Nevske, Serebrianka Forest, Bilohorivka and Verkhnokamianka.
On the Bakhmut front, Russian forces are persevering in their attempts to capture the city of Bakhmut.
Ukrainian defence forces repelled Russian assaults in the vicinity of Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Hryhorivka, Chasiv Yar, and Ivanivske. Fighting in Bakhmut is still underway.
Russian forces conducted unsuccessful offensive operations on the Avdiivka, Marinka and Shakhtarsk fronts, near the settlements of Kamianka, Avdiivka, Sieverne, Pervomaiske and Marinka.
More than 10 Ukrainian settlements near the line of contact came under Russian fire, including Kamianka, Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Heorhiivka and Vuhledar in Donetsk Oblast.
Russian forces are on the defensive on the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson fronts. They shelled over 30 settlements in Kherson Oblast.
Ukrainian aircraft carried out 10 airstrikes on clusters of Russian military personnel and equipment over the past 24 hours.
