Ukraine's Digital Ministry invites global IT companies to conduct ‘digital lend-lease’ for Ukraine

The proposal was made by Digital Transformation Minister Mykhailo Fedorov as part of the Digital4Freedom initiative, which was presented at the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Lugano, Switzerland.
"Digital infrastructure is the most resilient and effective in wartime," Fedorov said.

"That’s because it cannot be destroyed by missiles. And digital lend-lease is now our offer to the world's top technology companies."
The companies attending the conference included Microsoft, Rakuten, Apple, Amazon, Google, IBM, Palantir, Mastercard, Visa, etc.
"Digitalization is not only our foundation for recovery but also a vision of how the country should work," the minister said.

"You will not have such a chance to join the implementation of the most advanced technologies at the state level in any other country of the world."
According to Fedorov, Digital4Freedom will help make Ukraine "the freest and most digital country in the world, where paperless works instead of analog officials and certificates, cashless instead of cash, the IT sector accounts for 40% of GDP, and the country itself turns into the largest IT hub of Eastern Europe with a focus on security solutions."

Earlier Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that Ukraine's recovery plan is already estimated to cost $750 billion. He stressed that seized Russian assets in the West would be a major source of funding for the recovery plan.
