The band says the song has recently become an anthem for Ukrainians

“I really appreciate that so many people have gathered, so many people have come to show their support to the band and for the band to show their support to these people who have gathered, and we are really happy that we have this opportunity to boost the morale of people here.”

"I really don't want to say anything biased in advance. What I really want is Ukraine to be heard, what I really want is our music to be heard, and I want Ukraine to be heard in all kinds of senses.”

This year’s competition will take place in Turin, Italy in May

Russia has been banned from participating
