Ukrainian actor Bohdan Kolesnyk killed on action

On 23 December, Bohdan Kolesnyk, a film and theatre actor, was killed in combat.

While performing a combat mission, the soldier was fatally wounded.

After the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, the actor joined the ranks of Territorial Defence Forces and later ended up on the contact line. He was active on social media and contributed to charity fundraisers for cars and drones for the military.

Kolesnyk was born in Kryvyi Rih and graduated from the Kyiv National I. K. Karpenko-Kary Theatre, Cinema and Television University. He played in such TV shows as: SuperCops, Captain on Сall, Toptun, Maestro and Leave Without a Call. He worked at the Osobystosti Theater, the Luhansk Academic Theater, and the Ukrainian Modern Theatre.

"Another loss... Our colleague, a talented Ukrainian actor, Bohdan Kolesnyk, was killed today while performing a combat mission. Eternal memory to our hero! He is survived by his wife and a little daughter... deep condolences to Bohdan's family!", wrote actress Olha Sumska.

Colleagues from the EgoisT theatre, where Bohdan Kolesnik also worked and participated in productions, expressed their condolences:

"The Hotel has lost its owner, Jack, forever. Rest in peace, HERO. With a heavy heart, we announce the death of our actor, Bohdan Kolesnyk, in the war. A talented, fun and loyal friend. We will always remember you. It hurts endlessly...".
