Ukrainian Armed Forces kill 400 Russian troops and destroy 1 helicopter on 21 September

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have killed 400 Russian soldiers over the previous 24 hours, with the total number of Russia’s personnel losses reaching 55,510 since the beginning of the full-scale invasion on 24 February.

Details: Russian forces suffered their greatest losses on the Kramatorsk and Donetsk fronts.

Total combat losses of the Russian forces between 24 February and 22 September 2022 are estimated to be as follows [figures in parentheses represent the latest losses - ed.]:

  • Approximately 55,110 (+400) military personnel;

  • 2,236 (+9) tanks;

  • 4,776 (+28) armoured combat vehicles;

  • 1,341 (+1) artillery systems;

  • 318 (+0) multiple-launch rocket systems;

  • 169 (+1) air defence systems;

  • 253 (+0) fixed-wing aircraft;

  • 218 (+1) helicopters;

  • 941 (+9) operational-tactical UAVs;

  • 240 (+1) cruise missiles;

  • 15 (+0) ships/boats;

  • 3,630 (+20) vehicles and tankers;

  • 125 (+0) special vehicles and other equipment.
