Quote from Fedorov: "[The Ukrainian Armed Forces - ed.] conducted over 30 strikes exclusively on a Russian military base.

In addition, thanks to our resistance forces, a Russian armoured cargo train with ammunition has been derailed.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are doing everything within their power to return peace and Ukrainian sovereignty to Melitopol. The only thing the occupiers can do is flee."

Details: Fedorov said that in Melitopol the occupiers are attempting to make it look like the Ukrainian Armed Forces have attacked peaceful civilian neighbourhoods, and that this resulted in casualties among civilian population and damage to municipal infrastructure. Fedorov insisted that this information was not true.

According to media reports, there have been explosions going off at Russian ammunition depots for the past two hours.

Earlier: Media have reported that a large strike on the Melitopol airfield, where there was a Russian military base, took place on the night of 2-3 July.
