Quote from Haidai: "The Russians have wanted to seize this strategically important highway for more than two months, but they still cannot establish control over even several kilometres of this road.

The Ukrainian defenders stopped the enemy’s attempts [to capture the road between Lysychansk and Bakhmut - ed.] with heavy fire, forcing the Russians to retreat."

Details: The head of the Luhansk Oblast Military Administration also said that Russian occupying forces continue to fire at towns and villages in Luhansk Oblast using artillery, followed by attempts to conduct assault operations on those towns and villages. Moreover, the Russians are conducting missile strikes and airstrikes in the oblast, destroying homes and critical civilian infrastructure, and killing civilians.

On 15 July, Russian forces conducted four rocket strikes on and around towns and villages in Luhansk Oblast. They also carried out three artillery attacks and five sustained mortar attacks.

Russian aircraft conducted airstrikes on Verkhnokamianske and Bilohorivka. Russian aircraft launched missiles near the latter.

According to Haidai, Russian occupying forces conducted assault operations in an attempt to improve their tactical positions near Verkhnokamianske.
