Ukrainian Armed Forces stop Russians on Sloviansk front and push them back General Staff report

On the Sloviansk front, Ukrainian soldiers have stopped the Russian forces from advancing towards Dovhenke – Dolyna and have pushed them back.

Details: On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus are conducting training exercises on military communication, involving communication centres at main command posts.

On the Sivershchyna front, Russia fired with gun and rocket artillery on the areas around Pokrovka, Starykove, Porozok, and Verkhnia Pozhnia in Sumy Oblast and deployed Orlan-10 UAVs to conduct aerial reconnaissance of Ukrainian positions in the border districts of Chernihiv Oblast.

Russian forces on the Kharkiv front focused their main efforts on preventing Ukrainian troops from advancing to the state border of Ukraine. They continued to conduct assault operations in order to improve their tactical positions and  pin down the Ukrainian Defence Forces.

Russian aircraft conducted an airstrike on the village of Yavirske. Russian forces also fired on infrastructure in Kharkiv, Ruska Lozova, Staryi Saltiv, Peremoha, Chepil, and Milo with artillery.

Ukrainian troops have successfully repelled a Russian assault on the Dovhalivka – Zalyman front, forcing the Russian occupying forces to retreat.

On the Sloviansk front, Russian forces are conducting assault operations towards Dovhenke – Dolyna and are trying to create favourable conditions to mount an offensive on Sloviansk. Their main efforts are focused on continuing the offensive towards Izium – Sloviansk.

Russian forces fired on Ukrainian Armed Forces positions using artillery and multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS) and deployed UAVs to conduct aerial reconnaissance around Hrushuvakha. Ukrainian defenders decisively repelled Russian attempts to advance towards Dovhenke – Dolyna and pushed the Russians back.

Russia did not undertake active combat operations on the Kramatorsk front, but fired on the area around Mayaky and Tetianivka with gun artillery.

On the Lysychansk front, Russian occupying forces deployed mortars and gun artillery in order to inflict losses on the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and conducted airstrikes in the vicinity of Mykolaivka and Yakovlivka.

Russian troops continue to conduct assault operations on Vovchoiarivka – Lysychansk’s southern outskirts (near the oil refinery); fighting continues.

Russia continues to hope to capture the main road between Bakhmut and Lysychansk. Russian troops conducted reconnaissance-in-force operations towards Mykolaivka – Spirne in an attempt to establish the firing positions of the Ukrainian units in the area, and later on continued to advance on this front. Ukrainian troops have successfully repelled all Russian attempts to advance and forced the Russian troops to retreat.

On the Bakhmut front, Russian occupying forces are shelling the areas around Kostyantynivka, Bilohorivka, Vyimka, Pokrovske, Bakhmut, and Soledar with artillery and are conducting assault operations towards Myronivka – Vuhlehirska Power Plant, where fighting continues.

On the Avdiivka, Kurakhove, Novopavlivka, and Zaporizhzhia fronts, Russia did not undertake active combat operations, but shelled the areas around Vodiane, Avdiivka, Katerynivka, Komar, Shcherbaky, Zelenyi Hai, and Novodanylivka with gun and rocket artillery, and conducted airstrikes near Kamianka, Avdiivka, and Shevchenko.

Ukrainian troops repelled a Russian assault on the Yehorivka – Pavlivka front, forcing the Russian troops to retreat with losses.

On the Pivdennyi Buh front, Russian forces are focusing their main efforts on maintaining their previously occupied positions and preventing the Armed Forces of Ukraine from mounting a counter-offensive in Kherson and Mykolaiv oblasts. The Russians deployed gun artillery and MLRS to fire on the Ukrainian Defence Forces in order to prevent their units from regrouping. In addition, they conducted an airstrike on the area around Potiomkine.

Strike aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force carried out powerful airstrikes on Russian positions. Across all fronts, Ukrainian Su-25 assault jets and Su-24m bombers conducted around 20 group combat sorties.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to successfully carry out rocket artillery firing missions; their effects and consequences are being confirmed.
