Ukrainian Armed Forces strike Russian Guard positions in Kherson

The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to strike areas where Russian troops and military equipment are concentrated. In particular, they struck positions of the Russian Guard in Kherson and across Kherson Oblast.

Quote: "Over the course of the day, the enemy conducted four airstrikes on the positions of our troops along the line of contact.

In response, our aircraft conducted five airstrikes on two enemy air defence systems in the Kherson and Kakhovka districts and on three areas where [Russian] weapons and equipment were concentrated in the Beryslav district.

[Ukraine’s] rocket artillery units carried out 266 firing missions. In particular, they were able to reinforce their control over the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant area, where the occupiers are attempting to set up crossings [over the River Dnipro]. [In addition, they have struck] three command posts along the front line; the positions of the Russian Guard in Kherson were also struck; and an enemy strong point near Davydiv Bridge was destroyed."

Details: Operational Command Pivden (South) has confirmed the following losses on Russia’s part: 57 military personnel and 30 pieces of military equipment, including two Msta-B howitzers and one 122-mm howitzer, a Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system, an Akatsia self-propelled howitzer, a Grad multiple-rocket launch system, two command and staff vehicles and 19 other armoured vehicles.

Russia is continuing to conduct aerial reconnaissance and carry out airstrikes using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

Two Orlan-10 reconnaissance UAVs were destroyed in the Beryslav district (Kherson Oblast) and the Bashtanka district (Mykolaiv Oblast). A Shahed-136 suicide drone was shot down in the Mykolaiv district (Mykolaiv Oblast).

The Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed three Russian ammunition storage points in the Bashtanka district (Mykolaiv Oblast) and the Kherson and Beryslav districts (Kherson Oblast).

Three surface and one submarine high-precision missile carriers are on standby in the waters of the Black Sea; they are armed with a total of 28 Kalibr cruise missiles.

The remaining 12 ships of the Russian fleet are continuing to manoeuvre in the missile-safe part of the Black Sea without attempting to approach Ukrainian-controlled coasts.
