Ukrainian flag raised in Russian-occupied Nova Kakhovka (photo)
Unknown persons raised a Ukrainian flag in the city of Nova Kakhovka, in the part of Kherson Oblast under Russian occupation, South Operation Command spokesman Colonel Vladyslav Nazarov has reported.
Nazarov posted a grainy photo of the flag flying over Nova Kakhovka on his Telegram channel on Sept. 3.

"The Ukrainian flag was raised in the temporarily occupied Kakhovka in Kherson Oblast," Nazarov wrote, although it is not known where exactly or when the flag was raised.
Neither is it known whether the flag was raised by locals or partisans. Judging by the photo, which shows green trees, the photo was taken in the summer.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a Russian army command post in occupied Nova Kakhovka, Kherson Oblast on Aug. 9.
