Ukrainian forces block invaders’ assaults towards Kharkiv and Slovyansk – General Staff

The Russian invaders are also conducting assault operations in order to improve their tactical position and pin down Ukrainian defending forces, the General Staff said.

Enemy aircraft launched an airstrike near the village of Yavirske in Kharkiv Oblast. The Russian army also used artillery to damage infrastructure in the villages of Ruska Lozova, Staryi Saltiv, Peremoha, Chepil, and Milova.

The Ukrainian military successfully repulsed an assault by enemy forces towards Dovhalivka and Zaliman in Kharkiv Oblast. The invaders were forced to withdraw.

On the Slovyansk axis, Russian forces are storming in the direction of the villages of Dovhenke and Dolyna as they push forward for a further attack on the town of Slovyansk. Their main efforts are focused on continuing the offensive in from the direction of Izyum to Slovyansk.

The invaders shelled the positions of Ukraine’s troops using artillery and multiple launch rocket systems, and conducted aerial reconnaissance using a UAV near the village of Hrushevakha. The Ukrainian military stopped the invaders' attempt to attack in the direction of Dovhenke and Dolyna and forced the enemy back.
