A strike on a Russian troops' training ground on the left bank of Kherson Oblast with approximately 60 soldiers eliminated was confirmed by Natalia Humeniuk, the Southern Defense Forces spokesperson on the air of the Kyiv 24 TV channel on Feb. 22.

"This whole charade with setting the flag and hastily retreating was spectacularly concluded when yesterday they [Ukrainian forces] fired on one of the training grounds where corresponding assault groups were being trained," Humenyuk said.

The Russian assault groups were undergoing training, during which the soldiers were "practicing the coordination of their actions," she said.

"The operation was executed quite effectively; at least 60 invaders will certainly not return to combat positions, and we are still investigating the rest," the spokeswoman said.

Humenyuk declined to disclose the weapons used for the strike but emphasized that the Ukrainian Armed Forces "utilize all available weapons and power."

The analytical portal DeepState previously reported on the strike on the Russian training ground in Kherson Oblast, targeting the Russian 328th Guards Air Assault Regiment, 810th Guards Naval Infantry Brigade, and 81st Self-propelled Artillery Regiment.

The Southern Defense Forces Telegram channel published a video of the probable strike on the Russian training ground.
