Ukrainian forces repel enemy attacks as Russians focus on Donbas
The Russian military launched nine missile and 23 air strikes over the past day, and fired more than 80 times from multiple launch rocket systems. There is an increased threat of air and missile attacks on civilian objects throughout Ukraine, Ukraine’s military says.

The General Staff said that the enemy is continuing to focus its main efforts on conducting an offensive on the Bakhmut and Avdiyivka sections of the front in the Donbas. On the Kupyansk, Lyman, Novopavlivka and Kherson sections of the front, the Russians have assumed defensive positions.
Over the past day, Ukrainian Defense Forces units repelled enemy attacks near Novoselivske and Bilohorivka in Luhansk Oblast, Soledar, Bakhmut, and 10 other settlements in Donetsk Oblast, and Mala Tokmachka and Stepove in Zaporizhzhya Oblast.

No Russian offensive groups have been detected on the Volyn, Polissya, Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi sections of the front in the north of Ukraine. However, under the guise of joint exercises with Belarus, Russia is building up an aviation group. The enemy shelled with artillery the areas of Tymofiyivka in Sumy Oblast and Kupyansk, and nine other settlements in Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Kupyansk section of the front, the enemy shelled the areas around Kupyansk and eight other settlements in Kharkiv Oblast, as well as Novoselivske in Luhansk Oblast.
On the Lyman section of the front, the enemy struck at the areas of Kreminna and six other settlements in Luhansk Oblast with all available firepower.
On the Bakhmut section of front, Soledar, Bakhmut, and eight other settlements in Donetsk Oblast were subjected to enemy fire.

On the Avdiyivka section of front, Avdiyivka, Maryinka, and six other settlements in Donetsk Oblast were shelled by invading Russian forces.
On the Novopavlivka section of front, the enemy fired at Vuhledar, and four other settlements in Donetsk Oblast.
On the Zaporizhzhya section of front, Russian tank, mortar and artillery fire hit more than 20 localities, including Vremivka and Novopil in Donetsk Oblast, and Huliaypole, Orikhiv, and six other settlements in Zaporizhzhya Oblast.
On the Kherson section of the front, the occupying forces fired at the city of Kherson, and nine other settlements.
Over the past day, Ukrainian aviation conducted 21 attacks on concentrations of enemy troops, and seven attacks on the positions of enemy anti-aircraft missile systems. Ukrainian troops also destroyed three Lancet-3 UAVs.
The missile and artillery units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces hit six command posts, eight concentrations of enemy troops, and an ammunition depot.
