Ukrainian intelligence denies role in Crimea Bridge bombing

On Oct. 12, the FSB accused Ukraine's military intelligence service and its director Kyrylo Budanov of being behind the explosion on the Crimea Bridge, before charging Budanov for his alleged involvement.
Russian security services also announced they arrested eight alleged suspects in connection with the case, including “five Russian citizens, and three citizens of Ukraine and Armenia.”

Crimea Bridge is the only link between mainland Russia and the occupied Ukrainian peninsula. It was apparently bombed on Oct. 8. It is used as a key supply route for Russian military forces in the South of Ukraine. The bridge was partly destroyed and was closed for private vehicles. Russia first reported “a fuel train” was set on fire on the Crimea bridge, later they said it was “a car bomb.”
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin later set up a government committee to deal with the "emergency situation" on the occupied peninsula.
