Ukrainian Intelligence explains what conditions are needed for Armed Forces to liberate Bakhmut
The dynamics of effective actions of the Ukrainian Security and Defence Forces will lead to the liberation of Bakhmut, whereas the Russian occupiers are throwing tanks into the battle since the infantry is struggling on the battlefield.

Quote from Volokhov: "The nature of the clashes is mostly infantry engagements, but lately, both our side and the enemy have been using a large number of tanks. If earlier it was just infantry, now the enemy is actively deploying vehicles. This is a good sign for us, as it indicates they cannot cope and need to pull out their reserves."
Details: Volokhov reported that the Ukrainian forces have been making steady progress over the past month. "We begin to enter the territories that we did not initially control. Therefore, the situation is quite positive and optimistic," the intelligence officer said.
Background: On 5 July, Andrii Kovalov, spokesman for the Ukrainian General Staff, stated that the Ukrainian Defence Forces have advanced in the area of the settlement of Klishchiivka on the Bakhmut front.
