Ukrainian military now using Romanian APR-40 MLRS – video
The transfer of these weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine was not previously reported.

The published footage shows four APR-40 MLRS, however the exact number of units used by the artillerymen is unknown.
APR-40 MLRS is a licensed Romanian copy of the BM-21 Grad MLRS. They were developed by Aerostar S.A.
The launcher is mounted on the chassis of a 6x6 all-wheel-drive truck DAC 665T, which can fire both single shots and salvoes.

The time to launch a full salvo is 30 seconds. It can be controlled from either the cab of the vehicle or remotely. The maximum range of the rockets is 20.5 kilometers.
