Men of military age should not wait for summons and instead voluntarily enlist, Andriy Khlyvnyuk, a Ukrainian musician and soldier, and operator of the Punisher drone, said in an interview with Pryama Chervona YouTube show released on Dec. 14.

"It so happened that their family was attacked, their country was attacked," Khlyvnyuk stated.

“They have no one else to help them. We have to go and do this work. I'm telling you, don't wait for someone to come to your gym, my good athletes. Go and look for them yourself. Think about what you can do for this war. Now we all have the same motivation — to fight off the rapists of our sisters, women, mothers and daughters. This is our only task. Because those people broke all their promises, all our bruderschafts — I'm sorry — that have been going on all these years. We need to fight back against this sh*t. This is our task. We can't complain that everything is going wrong, but we have to make it go right.”

The musician also explained why his band Boombox cannot afford to write songs about the war.

"To write songs about the war, you have to be directly involved in it. And since I'm a rear-guard rat... I came, bombed, and left. I can't afford this, it would be a bluff... When you're in the 'material', there, it will be born in you. And if you're beautiful, well-fed, and well-slept, you go to an elite job... In my case, I worked for 20 years, developed a base of people who trust me. But to write songs about the war... I have never been able to write to order.”

The defender and artist also predicted how long the war in Ukraine will last.

"We are just at the beginning, there hasn't even been an intermission yet, this is just the first act. And we are in the front row, friends, we will see all this sh** with our own eyes. This is just the beginning. This is my personal opinion, I am not a military expert, maybe the war will end tomorrow, maybe in a month. But my opinion is that this is for a long time, at least for the rest of all our lives.”
