Ukrainian saboteurs strike successfully in occupied territory
The Ukrainian military is trying to weaken the Russian army via sabotage far behind the front line, German newspaper Bild reported on June 18, citing a report by the German Defense Ministry.
The report states that pro-Ukrainian sabotage groups have blocked the main railway connection in the Russian-occupied part of Zaporizhzhya Oblast.
Ukrainian saboteurs also attacked railway infrastructure in occupied Crimea. This highlights the ability of Ukrainian forces to continue operating in regions currently under Russian control, far behind the front line, Bild said.

The defense ministry's report also analyzed the explosion of an ammonia pipeline that occurred in Kupyansk, Kharkiv Oblast in early June. It concluded that Ukrainian involvement ‘cannot be ruled out’, as the attack took place on Ukraine-controlled territory.
The report also found that Russian occupation forces in Bakhmut remain under significant pressure and that the Russian military most likely does not control the entirety of the town.
