"I had several concerts," she said.

"I was in Saint Petersburg. Those were corporate parties. And most often these were people from Ukraine who live there and invite Ukrainian artists. I performed in Russia then as I live now, like a zombie. I came, performed, did it great and left."

At the same time, Astafieva stressed "in Ukraine, I get a kick out of people. In Russia, everything is soulless, just a lot of money."

"I'm very ashamed that I was in such a condition that I had to travel and work there," the singer admitted.

"This is a completely different money. I treated it simply as a job to earn a living. Unfortunately, the music culture is very corrupt in our country. It's no news to anyone that there is a layer of artists who are always and everywhere, and only them. You can print out the radio program and see the same names."

Astafieva also answered which of her Russian friends she keeps in touch with.

"Everyone is greedy for feelings and emotions in Russia," she said.

"Money, demand, no more and no less. Some friends wrote me. I still correspond with Katya Varnava and Semen Slepakov. But I'm writing first to findout if they are still human. I have no more relatives (the singer's father is from Russia)."

In addition, Astafieva admitted how much money she had earned on tours in Russia.

"I could perform once in Russia and not work at all for two or three months," she said.

"The fees were very good. If you had to work 10 times in Ukraine, in Russia, you just had to close your eyes, mouth, stop beating yourself up and go."
