A Russian agent was arrested in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast for providing information about the Ukrainian Armed Forces to propagandist Vladlen Tatarsky before his assassination.

From November 2022 to April 2023, the suspect remotely transmitted information about the movements of Ukrainian military units to Tatarsky, who, in turn, passed it on to Russian military intelligence.

After Tatarksy’s assassination, the agent attempted to go into hiding to avoid prosecution.

The agent was a resident of a town near Dnipro, with two prior convictions and a total of nearly eight years of imprisonment for theft, illegal acquisition of vehicles, hooliganism, and inflicting serious bodily harm.

Tatarsky recruited him in the fall of 2022 with a proposal to assist Russia. The traitor regularly toured the outskirts of Dnipro to gather intelligence and covertly documented the routes of Ukrainian military units.

Understanding his crimes, the traitor meticulously deleted all sent messages after communicating with the Russians.

The detainee has been informed of his suspicion of committing state treason under Article 111, Part 2, of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which carries a life sentence.

Russian propagandist Vladlen Tatarsky (real name - Maxim Fomin) died in an explosion during his "creative evening" at a cafe in St. Petersburg on April 2. According to Russian media reports, a girl named Darya Trepova allegedly carried the bomb to the meeting with the propagandist, concealed in a statuette she gifted Tatarsky.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, commenting on the explosion in St. Petersburg and the elimination of Vladlen Tatarsky, stated that Russia should reflect on this matter.

Ukrainian intelligence believes that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is behind Tatarsky’s death. The self-proclaimed National Republican Army claimed responsibility for the assassination.
