Bednyakov also showed a screenshot of a school chat with homework for Ukrainian school students who are forced to learn the chorus and verse of the Russian national anthem.

After seizing several parts of Ukraine after launching a full-scale invasion of the country in late February, Russia brought in teachers to enforce the teaching of the Russian school curriculum to Ukrainian children in the occupied territories.
The language of instruction was switched to Russian, and textbooks infused with Russian propaganda themes were introduced.

Meanwhile, Russian invasion forces and occupation authorities have burned books on Ukrainian language, history and culture in the areas they control.
