Prytula turned 41 on June 22, and for his birthday, he initiated a mass fundraiser for a large-scale project: In the eight days from June 22 to 29, he wanted funds to buy three Turkish-made Bayraktar drones for the Ukrainian military.

As Prytula previously reported, $15 million is needed for the purchase. The Serhiy Prytula Foundation contributed $2 million of its own funds.

A day later, Prytula reported on fundraising on his Instagram page and said that he had managed to raise UAH 296 million— enough for two Bayraktars.

“Twenty-four hours ago, at 9 a.m., we started fundraising within the framework of the People’s Bayraktar project,” Prytula wrote. “We realize what a huge (target) we have (set ourselves). But we also realize the importance of strengthening the Air Force of the Armed Forces. One day passes… As of 9 a.m. on June 23, you have donated UAH 296, million!!!”

In total, as of June 23, Prytula has managed to raise UAH 366 million.

"We add what our fund has allocated for the project, and we have a total of UAH 366 million! This means that out of the desired three, we have already collected (enough) for TWO BAYRAKTARS! TWO IN A DAY!!! People, you are doing something fantastic and writing history!” Prytula added.

In a video address to Ukrainians, Prytula thanked all those who had donated funds for the purchase of the Bayraktars.
