Ukraine’s Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, said on Telegram on March 27 that the money will be used to fund a new fleet of suicide drones.

UNITED24 and Artemsil, Ukraine’s largest salt producer, released a limited batch of salt to commemorate the first anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The special batch was made from 20 tonnes of salt previously mined in the now-occupied town of Soledar. The batch consisted of 100,000 200g packs and cost UAH 465 ($12.7) per pack.

The funds will be spent to purchase over 2,200 FPV drones, Federov said.

“This was made possible thanks to everyone who purchased this pack of strength,” he said.

“And also thanks to the contributions of our donors and businesses that have continuously supported the army for more than a year.”

National retail chain Silpo and online marketplace ROZETKA supported the initiative, covering some costs, while platform users covered the rest.
