UL wide receiver Kyren Lacy transfers to LSU football

UL wide receiver Kyren Lacy has transferred and will play for LSU football, he announced on Friday.

The sophomore wideout had 50 receptions for 668 yards and 10 touchdowns in two seasons with the Ragin' Cajuns. He is the first receiver to transfer to LSU since Brian Kelly's hiring.

Lacy is also the seventh player to transfer to LSU since Kelly's hiring, joining UL teammate Mekhi Garner, Arkansas safety Joe Foucha and cornerback Greg Brooks, Penn State running back Noah Cain, FIU offensive tackle and freshman All-American Miles Frazier and East Carolina long snapper Slade Roy.

The 6-foot-3, 212-pound Lacy adds a big target to the Tigers' wide receivers room that is expected to bring back junior Jaray Jenkins, sophomore Kayshon Boutte, freshmen Malik Nabers, Brian Thomas Jr. and Jack Bech and redshirt freshman Chris Hilton Jr.

LSU also signed three-star wide receiver Landon Ibieta during the early signing period in December.

Lacy's addition helps fill the hole caused by junior wideout Devonta Lee, who entered the transfer portal on Friday. Sophomore Koy Moore, freshman Deion Smith, junior Trey Palmer and sophomore Alex Adams have also all entered the portal, with Palmer transferring to Nebraska and Adams landing at Akron.
