Ulrika Jonsson has revealed she is struggling with breathing and bad sleep after breaking her rib.

The former Gladiators presenter, 56, told fans in a post on Instagram that she was feeling sore after hurting herself, although she didn't explain what had happened.

"Turns out: broken/ bruised rib is also s*** for trying to sleep on (as well as breathing and generally trying to function)," she said on her Instagram Story.

"Not my first broken rib rodeo, I might add," the TV star told her fans.

It isn't the first time that Jonsson has opened up to fans about her health struggles.

The presenter - who has four children - was diagnosed with arthritis a few years ago and has previously said that it sometimes has an impact on her sleep.

Last year she told the Daily Mail she battled terrible bouts of pain.

"If I've spent two or three hours in a car getting into London it's pretty tough," Jonsson said.

"It's like your hips seize and you have flashes of moments when you think, 'I can't move'."
