- Taylor Swift dropped the Cats trailer on her personal Instagram, and people are not loving it.
- The movie, which stars... Idris Elba, Taylor Swift, Rebel Wilson, Jason Derulo, and Jennifer Hudson, will be out around Christmastime
Hey! So, um, the Cats trailer just dropped, and it is... questionable. It features every celebrity you can list animated as a cat, and as appealing as that may sound to a very small section of the internet, it's actually pretty scary IRL!
Twitter, as you can imagine, is having a field day with this. They're pointing out the most ridiculous parts, obviously, like the fact that the cats have breasts (last time I checked cats don't have breasts, you guys) and Taylor Swift's in particular is wearing kitten heels.
Obviously you need to see the trailer to appreciate these tweets, so here it is, courtesy of Taylor's Instagram.
There are no words. Literally no words to even begin describe what just happened. Please note that the comments on Taylor's video are conveniently turned off. Shocked!
Without further ado, the tweets. First, people are comparing it to a literal nightmare.
If anyone wants to have a nightmare tonight, watch the Cats trailer. Chilling. pic.twitter.com/UlONmWsrJT— Omid Scobie (@scobie) July 18, 2019
The cat jokes have started and they will never, ever stop.

The very obvious question that needs to be asked because WHAT THE HECK?
Please, let's get our politicians involved!!
Not even sure what this one is, but it's very funny.
This cat gets it.
Terrifying. Absolutely terrifying. I still have NO WORDS for this.

People were confused about the plot, so thankfully someone cleared that up for us.
Please stop saying the plot of Cats is confusing. The plot of Cats is that they're cats and they introduce themselves until one of them gets permission to die.— Louis Peitzman (@LouisPeitzman) July 18, 2019
A great question in 3...2....1...

Okay, yeah, so people are not thrilled about this. Do yourself a favour and rewatch it five more times so you can truly process what tf is going on.
