UMC Health System ranked 'highly recommended' by U.S. News and World report

UMC Health System has received multiple honors in the 2022-23 U.S. News and World Report’s Best Hospitals Rankings, including 5/5 stars in recommendations, according to a news release.

The report calculated reviews from patients, who gave a perfect 5/5 star-review for "willingness to recommend. This earned UMC the honor of "most highly recommended hospital in the region."

"Our culture is strong, our staff are phenomenal, and our community is our top priority," said Aaron Davis, UMC's vice president and chief experience officer, in the release. "We are so fortunate to be recognized. The patient voice speaks louder than any campaign or promotion you will see. When people go home and share about their care, we strive for positive testimonies and high recommendations."

UMC also ranked 21st out of 590 hospitals for the "best of the best" category. Other recognitions included these "high-performance ratings in treating adults":

  • Cardiology.

  • Nephrology.

  • Neurology.

  • Orthopedics.

  • Pulmonology.
