Quote: "The Secretary-General condemns in the strongest terms the overnight large-scale missile and drone attack by the Russian Federation on Ukrainian cities and towns across the country, including against civilian and critical infrastructure."

Details: Guterres also highlighted the death and injury of a large number of civilians.

Earlier: The United States has accused Russia of purposefully distracting the UN Security Council with topics about the Revolution of Dignity in Ukraine a decade ago, while Moscow was preparing the largest missile and air strike on Ukrainian cities.

Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN Serhii Kyslytsya informed the Security Council about the consequences of Russia's massive attack on Ukraine, noting that Russia feels free to kill "innocent people in Ukraine and abroad."
